**Before You Begin:**
- Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface with the engine turned off.

- Allow the exhaust system and components to cool down if the vehicle was recently in operation.
**Step 1: Loosen Existing Exhaust Bolts**
- Locate the bolts securing the existing exhaust system to the vehicle.
- Use a 14mm and 17mm wrench to loosen and remove these bolts. If they are rusted or difficult to turn, apply WD-40 to the threads to ease removal.
**Step 2: Spray WD-40 Around Exhaust Rubber Bushings**
- Locate the rubber bushings holding the exhaust in place along its length.
- Spray WD-40 generously around these bushings to lubricate them for easier removal.
**Step 3: Remove the Exhaust System**
- Use a crowbar or pry bar to carefully and gently remove the exhaust system. Begin at the rear of the vehicle and work your way towards the front. Be cautious not to damage the surrounding components or the new exhaust system.
**Step 4: Assemble the New Exhaust System**
- Lay out all the components of the new exhaust system.
- Do not bolt it down immediately next to the stock system to allow for adjustments.
- Check the hardware kit; it should be inside a bag, typically taped on the plastic wrappers.
**Step 5: Assemble the New Exhaust System One Piece at a Time**
- Assemble the new exhaust system in a front-to-rear sequence, one piece at a time.
- Place gaskets between the flange connections and hand-tighten them together. Ensure a secure fit.
**Step 6: Secure the New Exhaust System**
- Once the entire new exhaust system is in place, securely tighten down the bolts with a wrench. Apply at least 30 ft-pounds of torque to ensure a snug fit.
**Step 7: Wipe Down for Grease**
- Before starting the engine, wipe down the new exhaust system to remove any excess grease or fingerprints.
**Step 8: Check for Leaks**
- Start the engine and check for any signs of exhaust leaks. Listen for unusual noises and feel around the connections for any escaping gases. If you detect a leak, turn off the engine and address it before continuing.
**Step 9: Initial Start-Up**
- Don't be alarmed if you see smoke after starting up the engine; this is normal and should go away as the exhaust system breaks in.
**Step 10: Removal of Silencer (if applicable)**
- If your exhaust system has a removable silencer pre-installed, it can be removed by carefully unbolting it using pliers or a wrench.
