Parts
The parts themselves are wonderful but shipping took a very long time (3 weeks) and my local FedEx made that process even worse. Good product, slow shipping.

Had to make some modifications some of the brackets didn't line up they where close had to bend some of the pipe to it wold fit and not rub on frame some of the hangers had to be bent to fit. I did this on a lift so it was easier. On the ground would have been a nightmare. Sounds good though and no CEL
i was hesitant for the longest time, but they’re total worth!
Owned this product before, it is exact fit and sounds amazing.
Yessir
Bought this and put it together super easy no issues sounds amazing!
Exactly as advertised. In a good way. Install went well and my 99 forester now sounds fantastic. If you're considering one or the other of these pieces, this combo is the way to go.
I purchased these headers for a 2010 Impreza 2.5i non turbo heat wrapped and had to extend cat pipe another 5 inches give or take
5 star for the quality of the steel and weld
Great
Header and cat came in great time and fit perfect on my 05 OBS and sounds amazing with my catback.

I often hear people complain about sound..... Well... I put these on a 99 Legacy Outback, 2.5 NA, with everything else being 2.25", high flow cat, and a center in center out stainless turbo muffler. It has just enough sound, but not too much. It's all about the set up.
I got the hi-flow headers and downpipe. I am very impressed with the sound of it. It's the true Subaru sound. I put a straight pipe on as well and it truly sounds like a muscle car. Overall very great product I highly recommend.
Stock manifold was cracked and the shop quoted me at 450 for another stock one. Ordered this for over 100 less and it bolted right on.
Just got them on and i have to say i am happy with the sound i get from them ,but gets a little raspy at anything over 3500 RPM. Fitment was a issue do to the fact that i did not have new header studs. Have a few issues to work out with some exhaust leaks ,but from my experience with headers this is a common problem
I know headers do, unsure on downpipe. I would check the forums or other community articles/write ups.
no, I am sorry.
Honestly Im pretty sure one is a high flow cat and one is catless.'
I would double check the downpipe portion. I think it is little different from the Imprezas. Headers should fit thought, if you have EJ25
Jason, if you JDM has “stock locations of the three main bolt-up sections of basic American versions, like my Forester S, then I believe that you would enjoy these awesome HEADERS and DOWNPIPE combo. FYI. Look into an oil filter relocate kit from MISHIMOTO.com
Yes, but flanges matching to each are little off. Downpipe side has donut flange while exhaust side has flat flange. Other than that great fit.
No. We only have UEL
Unequal length. Great fitment
yes, V2
I believe you will have to alter and modify areas to make it fit. Like the brackets for the downpipe does not match and I believe the headers on yours coming out is shorter. I would double check online to be sure what you are getting into before buying.
Honestly it has been a hit and miss in the community. So you may have to. It is something you will figure out after installing unfortunately.
Yes with slight modifications it fits.
Iâ€:tm:m installing my on an 07 Impreza. I asked the same question about my 07 and someone said it would fit mine with slight modifications. Not what that is yet. So I canâ€:tm:t answer your question. Good luck n
Not sure if it would fit the 05 outback but it fit fine on my 2001 2.5rs with the exception of having to get a smaller oil filter. I imagine if its the same motor it should fit the only problem would be if it came out to the right spot under the car.
It should fit, I have a 2008 Impreza 2.5i and it bolted right up. No issues with the installation.
no
I have the full header back exhaust from tsudo on my 04 2.5rs sounds good. It should all fit together.
Yes
Not 100% positive for an 08, as the chassis is different, but they do get quite warm. I have these installed on an 01 Forester (same chassis as a 98-02 Impreza) and they sit uncomfortably close to the oil filter. Fit and finish is quite nice compared to other budget headers, though! SEM really came through when I was in a pickle as well, and were very helpful.
I'
Comes with the gaskets, will fit a MANUAL 98-02 Forester. WILL NOT FIT THE AUTOMATIC. Auto has an oil cooler that put the filter into the manifold.
yes it is possible that it could misfire. I would also check spark plugs and injectors. Maybe a Full maintenance. Clogged cats will eventually come apart and make a tin can noise. The inspection part I am unsure, since we are in California. It would not pass here but if visual inspection was evaded it pass, since there would be no CEL. I am unsure though in NJ. I hope this helps.
